MAAREF UNIVERSITY PRESS
Publication Ethics
Maaref University Press publishes scholarly books, chapters and conference proceedings under an editorial process based on integrity, fairness and an accurate public record. Each submission is evaluated for relevance and intellectual quality. Decisions must be independent of the contributor’s nationality, institution, identity, financial relationship or ability to pay. The Press records the reasons for major editorial decisions and separates commercial arrangements from scholarly assessment.
Authors must submit original work, cite sources accurately, secure permissions for third party material and disclose overlapping submissions, funding and competing interests. A published contribution must have the consent of every named author. Editors must protect confidential manuscripts and choose qualified independent reviewers. Reviewers must assess the work on its merits, declare conflicts, respect deadlines and avoid using privileged information.
Concerns about plagiarism, fabricated or falsified material, manipulated peer review or ethical approval are examined by an editor who has no conflict in the matter. The affected contributor receives a specific account of the concern and an opportunity to respond. The Press may consult relevant institutions and will communicate the outcome to the parties. When an error affects the published record, a dated correction, expression of concern or retraction is issued under the applicable policy.
