Copyright and Licensing
Each published book and chapter identifies the copyright holder and the terms governing use. Contributors warrant that they control the rights they grant, have obtained permission for third party text, images, tables and data, and have disclosed prior publication or repository deposits. A free download alone does not create an open license.
For open access work, the applicable Creative Commons or other license is displayed on the publication page and in the edition where practical. For paid editions, downloading grants only the rights stated in the purchase and publishing terms; redistribution is not automatically permitted. Different chapters may require distinct licenses where the agreements allow this.
The signed project agreement controls formats, territory, duration, reuse, translation, royalties if any and termination. Authors should review their grant of rights before signing. Requests to reproduce or adapt material can be sent to the Press with the exact work and proposed use.
